Neurology

The Neurology Department, headed by Prof. Ivan Dimitrov, diagnoses and treats pain syndromes, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, dementias, strokes, vertigo and other diseases affecting the nervous system. Neuropsychological tests are conducted and patients with memory disorders are followed. High-tech equipment for electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), evoked potentials, Doppler sonography, transcranial magnetic stimulation of the latest generation is used in specialized offices. The specialists also apply the capabilities of modern imaging devices in the hospital – magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, angiography, etc. The department has 30 beds in modern equipped hospital rooms.
