Health Insurance

The mandatory health insurance in Bulgaria covers only a limited amount of health care services for the insured patients. In some cases, your treatment may require medical interventions, implants or medication, not covered by the National Health Insurance Fund. You may also want a specific doctor to treat or operate you.

In the cases where medical procedures and services are not covered by the National Health Insurance Fund, the patient will be charged according to the hospital price list.
