Foreign patients

Patients who are citizens of other EU countries, that own a European Health Insurance Card, are entitled to the same package of healthcare service and products, covered by the National Health Insurance Fund, as the insured Bulgarian citizens.

Patients without a European Health Insurance Card, insured by a foreign insurance company, must pay for the treatment according to the hospital price list and will receive a financial document, allowing them to claim cost reimbursement from their insurance company.

Patients without a health insurance must pay the full price of the treatment.
