\nThe First Endocrinology Department and Metabolic Diseases specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases of the endocrine glands such as diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, thyroid diseases, disorders of calcium-phosphorus metabolism and parathyroid function, diseases of the pituitary, adrenal and gonads.<\/p>\n

The department has 15 inpatient beds and highly qualified staff, who carry out timely and competent diagnostic and therapeutic activities in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice.<\/p>\n

Activities:<\/strong>
\nThe Endocrinology Department uses the highest class ultrasonography equipment, enabling precise visualization of diffuse and focal changes in the structure of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, cervical lymph nodes or tumor formations in the cervical region.<\/p>\n

In patients with diabetes mellitus, there is the option of 24-hour blood glucose monitoring by incorporating a glucose sensor to accurately determine insulin dose and insulin regimen when initiating or changing insulin therapy.<\/p>\n

On the ward, there is the ability to perform body composition analysis using a bioelectrical impedance device with determination of percent fat of total body weight, presence of visceral adipose tissue, body water content, basal metabolic activity, and metabolic age. In accordance with the results of the study, an individual dietary regimen is prescribed and prepared.<\/p>\n

For patients with diabetes mellitus, weekly small-group training sessions are held using the Diabetes Conversation Map programme.<\/p>\n

For patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and couples with reproductive problems, a complete hormonal analysis and assessment of metabolic disorders is performed.[\/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size=”120″]\n
