She has completed general surgery residency at the &#8220;N.I. Pirogov&#8221; UMBALSM \u2013 Sofia. Prior to her residency Dr. Dimova volunteered in The Emergency Surgical Department for 5 years during her medical studies. She was a member of The Antibiotic Policy Committee of the Hospital. Her practice is primarily focused on minimally invasive abdominal and thoracic surgeries and emergency surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dimova completed courses in wound treatment (post-operative, vascular, diabetic, infectious and others). Every year she actively participates in the sessions of the EWMA &#8211; European Wound Management Association Congresses. Her research interests are in the field of difficult healing wounds and reconstructive surgery. Participated as a surgeon in an international team together with Prof. Darina Krastinova (France) and Prof. Michel Jazinski (France), focusing on complex reconstructive operations in patients after traumatic, post-operative, congenital or oncological deformities.<\/p>\n<p>She has completed series of certified courses related to Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgeries led by Prof. Diego Gonz\u00e1lez Rivas and Prof. Tomas <em>\u0160<\/em>tupnik. She is a member of the Bulgarian and European Associations for Wound Care. Dr. Dimova is author and co-author of scientific publications in Bulgarian and foreign journals, mainly in the field of emergency and oncological surgery.
