He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1996 and obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree in Hematology and Blood Transfusion , as well as a specialty degree in Internal Medicine (2014), Clinical Hematology (2016) and a Master&#8217;s degree in Health Management (2016).<\/p>\n<p>In the period 2004 &#8211; 2022, he was successively a full-time doctoral student, physician-in-residence, chief assistant, Head of Department and Executive Director at the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Hematological Diseases (SHALHD Sofia).<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Spasov has significant experience in the treatment (including the application of targeted therapy) of a number of malignant hematological diseases such as acute and chronic leukemias, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, myelomas, etc. His clinical interests include standard and targeted therapy of malignant hematological diseases, immuno-oncohematology, cellular immunotherapeutic approaches, personalized hematology.<\/p>\n<p>He has been elected President of the Bulgarian Medical Association of Hematology since 2019 and is a member of the European Hematology Association. He has participated in a number of national and world congresses on clinical haematology.
